A You Bet! We will have a variety of skill levels and topics for you to choose from.
Q Will there be opportunities for progression for more experienced riders?!
A You Bet! We will have a variety of skill levels and topics for you to choose from.
Q What does Women+ mean?
A This event is for significantly female-identified people. We use an inclusive definition of “woman” and “female” and we welcome trans women, genderqueer women, and non-binary people who are significantly female-identified.
Q Which trails will we be riding?
A We will be selecting routes within the Strathgartney & Brookvale Trails
Q What is the minimum age to participate?
A This is a 19+ event.
Q Can I stay off-site and still participate?
A Absolutely! Just let us know in your registration
Q I don’t know anyone else going, should I participate?
A Absolutely! We have had many many riders join us as ‘alone’, and they usually leave with a huggable armful of new friends that they end up road tripping with season after season!
Q Why is the price the price it is?
A We are the first to take on mountain biking events like this, and we are about 25% cheaper than all the companies west of the Atlantic region offering the same type of events. We try to keep the pricing as low as possible without under-valuing the hard work of our team and local hosts.
Q If I can’t go, can I transfer my registration to a friend?
A Yes, you can swap in a friend if you can’t attend.
Q Can I bring my pet?
A We love a good fur-baby, but this event is for their humans only.
Q Will you be offering any Instruction in French?
A Oui! We have several bilingual Leaders.
Q Should I bring cash or card?
A Either will be accepted for purchasing merch from the vendors on site.
Q Is alcohol permitted on site?
A Yes, just be sure to leave no trace, enjoy responsibly and only after the events listed in our Schedule on your own time
WHAT TO EXPECT
From the moment you arrive at a Be Rad Adventures event, we want you to feel comfortable and stoked to be part of a really rad community!
There will be many similarly skilled riders around you, and our knowledgeable Instructors and Leaders are here to help get you comfortable with the trails.
Throughout the event you can choose your own adventure and ride until you can't feel your legs, or take a mellow approach and ride less, opting for more free time to relax.
Bring a lock for your bike - either to lock to your bike-rack on your car or to lock it to a bike rack.
Everyone will need to attend a safety briefing on Saturday morning prior to heading out on the trails.
